Motion Youth Hub (MYH) is a sports for development organization that came into existence in 2020, thanks to the dedication of a group of passionate young individuals hailing from Kampala district, Uganda. The driving force behind MYH's inception was the collective concern for the well-being of children in the community. This organization was founded with a multi-faceted mission, centering on various aspects of child welfare, healthcare, nurturing talents and skills, combating violence against women and girls, thereby fostering gender equality, and actively participating in environmental conservation, particularly through sports.

Situated in the heart of Uganda at plot 18, Old Kampala, MYH operates in close collaboration with local authorities, law enforcement agencies, fellow non-profit organizations, influential community figures, and development partners, all with the shared aim of realizing its mission. The methodology employed by MYH is comprehensive in its scope and execution, tailored to cater to the unique needs of those who are often marginalized and excluded from mainstream opportunities, especially within the context of impoverished urban areas such as slums. This includes populations like refugees, street-connected children, and vulnerable women, including those engaged in sex work, among others.

A core element of MYH's strategy revolves around the transformative power of sports. Sports, particularly soccer, rugby, and netball, serve as powerful tools to unite and uplift the community. MYH harnesses the interconnectedness of these sports to promote physical health, build life skills, and instill a sense of belonging among participants. Through these activities, the organization endeavors to nurture the potential of the youth and create a positive impact on the overall well-being of the community.

Governance at MYH is entrusted to a capable team of young women and men who form both the Board of Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees. These dedicated individuals oversee the organization's operations and ensure its alignment with its community-oriented objectives. In essence, Motion Youth Hub stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity in Kampala, Uganda, striving to empower and uplift the most vulnerable and underserved members of society, all while fostering positive change through the transformative power of sports and community engagement.
